Privacy Policy

Last Updated: October 6, 2026

The short versionYour contacts and campaigns stay on your computer. We only keep what we need to sell, support and refund your purchase, and we never sell your personal information.

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Mail Lana ("we", "us") handles information when you visit our website, buy Mail Lana, contact support, or use the Mail Lana desktop application. By using our website or software, you agree to this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Purchase information. When you buy, payment is handled by our payment processor at checkout. We receive details such as your name, email address and transaction reference so we can deliver the product, provide support and process refunds. We do not receive or store your full card details.

Support messages. When you use our contact form or email us, we collect your name, email address, topic and message so we can reply.

Website usage. Our website may use basic technical data, such as browser type and pages visited, through hosting logs or analytics tools.

3. Data Stored on Your Computer

Mail Lana is a desktop application. Your contacts, campaigns, templates, signatures, SMTP settings and other app data are stored locally on your computer. Mail Lana does not send your contact lists, email content or SMTP login details to us. You are responsible for securing and backing up your computer and its data.

4. Your Email Account (SMTP)

Emails are sent through the SMTP account you configure. Your email provider processes those messages under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not have access to your email account.

5. Tracking System and Website Subscribers

If you choose to install the optional tracking files, they run on your own website or server, not ours. Open, click, unsubscribe and website-subscription events, including any email addresses submitted through a lead capture popup, are stored on your server until they sync with the app. We do not have access to that data.

For the contacts you email and the subscribers you collect, you are the data controller. You are responsible for having permission to contact them, giving them a clear way to unsubscribe, publishing your own privacy policy, and complying with applicable laws such as CAN-SPAM, GDPR and similar regulations.

6. How We Use Your Information

  • To deliver the software and provide updates and support
  • To process purchases and refunds
  • To respond to your questions and requests
  • To prevent fraud and enforce our Terms of Service
  • To meet legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information.

7. Sharing of Information

We share information only with service providers needed to run the business, such as our payment processor, hosting and email delivery providers, and when required by law or to protect our rights. Those providers handle data under their own privacy policies.

8. Cookies and Third-Party Content

Our website may use cookies or similar technologies, and may embed third-party content such as a demo video (for example from YouTube), which can set its own cookies. You can control cookies in your browser settings.

9. Data Retention

We keep purchase and support records for as long as needed to provide the service, handle refunds and disputes, and meet legal and accounting requirements. You can ask us to delete your support messages and personal data, subject to those requirements.

10. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, contact us through the support page. We may need to verify your identity first.

Mail Lana and our website are not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

13. International Users

We may process information in countries other than your own. By using our website and software, you understand that your information may be transferred and processed there.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our website or software means you accept the changes.
